History
The 2013 Beer Festival will be the 17th Keswick Beer Festival, from humble beginnings in 1997 this event has grown into an event attracting nearly 6000 Beer enthusiasts over two days.
Keswick
Keswick on Derwentwater is a stunning Lakeland town with an abundance of activities, events, accommodation, restaurants and bars.
The area is renowned for sports with excellent walking, climbing, paragliding, fishing, golfing, windsurfing and sailing (amongst others!). There is also a cinema, art galleries and good variety of shopping.
2012 Beer Festival
A few statistics:
- 6,000 people visited the Beer Festival
- over 250 barrels of beer, lager and cider were available to sample
- endless sausage baguettes, beef burgers, pork rolls and chicken curries were consumed
- 6 live bands played
- The sun shone - most of the time!
