Welcome to the Keswick Beer Festival Website
Keswick Rugby Club and Keswick Lions Club are immensely grateful to everyone who helped make the Beer Festival 2012 such a great success - the visitors, the sponsors (in particular Thwaites Brewery), the volunteers, the bands, the security and medical teams (who both had a quiet time), the suppliers, etc, etc. Once again, on preliminary figures, a record sum has been raised for the activities of both Clubs.
A few statistics:
- 6,000 people visited the Beer Festival
- Over 250 barrels of beer, lager and cider were available to sample
- Endless sausage baguettes, beef burgers, pork rolls and chicken curries were consumed
- 6 live bands played
- The sun shone - most of the time!
Keswick Beer Festival 2013
The dates have been confirmed for the 2013 Keswick Beer Festival. This years
festival will be on
Friday 7th and Saturday 8th June 2013.

New Sponsor from 2011 - Thwaites Wainwright
We were pleased to welcome leading Lancashire brewer Daniel Thwaites and the brewery's flagship ale 'Wainwright' as the headline sponsor for the Keswick Beer Festival from June 2011 for three years, and the following statement received from Thwaites indicates that they enjoyed it as well!.
Thwaites were thoroughly delighted to support the 2011 Keswick Festival and more importantly see so much money raised once again for the participating charities. It was great to see our Thwaites Wainwright golden ale going down so well and along with our other great beers we created a “little bit” of Lancashire in Cumbria. Something that maybe Alfred Wainwright himself might have enjoyed.
Visitors drunk us dry and the entire Thwaites team loved every minute of it and can’t wait for 2012. Cheers!
